Shri Shiv Anant Shanker is an MBA and LLB from Delhi University. He has more than 20 years’ experience with regulators like National Housing Bank which is the apex regulatory body for overall regulation and licensing of housing finance companies in India and Reserve Bank of India which is India's central bank and regulatory body responsible for regulation of the Indian banking system. He has also served on the board of largest Regional Rural Bank.

He has the domain knowledge and experience of working in the areas of financial inclusion, payment and settlement systems, accounts, regulation and insolvency ecosystem. Presently, he is working as Chief General Manager with Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India headquartered in New Delhi. He joined the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board in April 2022 and is currently serving as Chief General Manager, on deputation. In Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board he is looking after the Inspection, Investigation Division, Advocacy Division and Research Division.
