Mr. Jayanti Prasad took charge as Whole Time Member, IBBI on July 5, 2022. Mr. Prasad is an IA&AS Officer from 1986 batch and has 35 years of national and international civil services experience in dealing with various regulations, laws and procedures in the field of International & National Audit, Accounts, Human Resources, Administration, International Relations, Capacity Building, Finance & Budget Management, Commercial & Public Sector Laws, Auditing, Finance, Taxation, Investigations, Legal & Court Matters, and Quasi-judicial functions.

He had been a member of the Institute of Public Auditors of India and been a senior international civil servant with the United Nations for six years serving at diverse locations like Somalia, Kenya, Geneva, Angola, Iraq, and New York as the Chief Auditor of many UN programmes. He has been given numerous awards for academic excellence right from school to post-graduation. He has also been a Gold Medalist at Graduate and Post Graduate levels.

At IBBI, he is currently looking after Complaints and Grievance Redressal, Inspection, Investigation and Surveillance; Human Resources, Establishment, Finance & Accounts, Research & Publication; Insolvency Ecosystem – IP, IPEs, IPAs, RVOs, IU, RV, RVEs, Examinations, Post-Graduate and National Insolvency Programme; and Advocacy wing comprising of Knowledge Management, Partnerships, Continuing Professional Education, and International Affairs.
