Mr Avinash Kulkarni is a leading professional in the Financial Services sector, with over three decades of experience working in multiple geographies. He has extensive knowledge in the area of Credit, Treasury, Investment Banking and Stressed Assets Management, with a specialised exposure in Stressed Assets resolution. He has been on the Boards of various companies. As a representative of Industry Associations, Mr Kulkarni has participated in various formal and informal discussions with regulatory bodies and other key stake holders for policy formation. He has led team of professionals who have provided advisories to government agencies and multilateral agencies on developmental projects.

Mr. Kulkarni is the MD & CEO of India Debt Resolution Company Limited. IDRCL is co-created under the pioneering initiative of Government of India along with NARCL. It is mandated with the responsibility of unlocking potential value embedded in the large corporate distress assets (NPAs) of the Indian banking and financial system. NARCL/IDRCL have recently acquired one of the largest NBFC through IBC process through a competitive bidding process. The bid is in alignment of IBC objective in true sense of revival of business and maximise value for COC.

Prior to this, Mr Kulkarni was CEO at the India Resurgence ARC Pvt Ltd, promoted by Piramal Enterprises Limited and Bain Capital Credit. Mr Kulkarni was also Chief General Manager Corporate Accounts Group, SBI, catering to the credit requirements of large corporate borrowers and was one of the key senior management responsible for handling the large stress accounts in SBI.
